The latest track from Arone Dyer is a collaboration with European contemporary classical ensemble, s t a r g a z e. ‘Define’ is a unique musical experience that fuses an indie approach with avant-garde pop and modern classical. Dyer’s instantly recognisable voice twists and turns above the cinematic, polyrhythmic strings and the orchestral and percussive flourishes. “I kept thinking about how much phones are integrated into relationships now,” she says. “I think at the time many of my closest friends were on Tinder or some other dating app, so there was a lot of talk about the ickiness of sizing someone up so quickly by a photo - swipe right or left and you’ve made your decision.
